We here at KITT STILL ROCKS just expanded our collection of original Knight Rider props with this screen-used miniature KITT!
About a dozen miniature KITTs were made as far as we can tell, and each one had its own purpose. They had an RC car, a compressed air car that would shoot in the air, one with a T-Top, and more.
Our car was used, we think, as a “throw” or “push” car – where an operator would push it or throw it off-screen and into the frame.
The previous owner did some paintwork on it and when it arrived to us and it had some minor damage that needed to be repaired (the windows were loose, one mirror had fallen off).
It will be proudly displayed in a protective acrylic case for years of enjoyment with all of that preservation work done!
